Salary: £35,276 per year (including one weekly sleep-in)

We're looking for an ambitious and caring Trainee Manager to join a small, therapeutic children's home in the heart of Chippenham. This 3-bedded home supports children and young people who may have Learning Disabilities, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and may have experienced trauma.
Located in the town centre, the home benefits from easy access to local amenities while offering a peaceful, homely environment - complete with a private garden, decking, and seating area for relaxation.
Why This Role is Different
You'll be fully supported by an experienced Registered Manager and have access to a structured Managerial Training Programme. Our client will also fund your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare, alongside specialist training in therapeutic and trauma-informed care.

Your Responsibilities

Assist the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home

Lead, support, and mentor the care team

Contribute to care planning and safeguarding

Maintain high standards in line with Ofsted and organisational requirements

Build positive, supportive relationships with children, families, and professionals
Requirements
-
Experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a residential children's home
-
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Full UK driving licence
-
Passion for progressing into a Registered Manager role

Solid understanding of safeguarding principles
