Responsible Individual - Children's Home (3 Bedded) - South East London
Part-time (2 days per week), Remote with Regular Travel to South East London

We are seeking a dynamic and values-driven individual to help launch and develop a 3-bedded Children's Home in South East London. Role Overview
As Responsible Individual, you will be the lead professional responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and service delivery at the new children's home. You will play a crucial role in the establishment and operational growth of the home, working closely with the Registered Manager and other senior staff to create a positive and supportive environment for young residents.
Key Responsibilities
• Take overall responsibility for the safe and legal delivery of the service in line with regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance for the Registered Manager and staff team.
• Support the recruitment and retention of staff with the right values and passion for working with young people.
• Ensure the care provided is of the highest quality, with clear personalised Care Plans and Risk Assessments for each resident.
• Promote a positive, child-centered ethos within the home.
• Regularly liaise with Local Authorities to build and develop business relationships.
• Conduct regular audits, performance reviews, and ensure continuous improvement.
• Actively support the staff team, including training, inductions, and ongoing professional development.
• Ensure the children's home operates in compliance with Ofsted regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
• Experience in a Responsible Individual role or a similar position within a Children's Residential Care setting.
• Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the ability to maintain high standards of care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
